Narasiṁha Caturdaśī 2026‘THE YOGI’ — TRAILER
Today, on the appearance day of Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, we are pleased to present a trailer for a short film we are currently working on, entitled The Yogi.
The film depicts a remarkable incident that took place in Purī in 1871, when a yogi named Bisakisen caused considerable disturbance among the people of Orissa, claiming to be an avatāra of Mahā-Viṣṇu. The British government subsequently deputed Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, who was then serving as the Deputy Magistrate of Purī, to deal with the volatile situation.
We hope to complete the film by the beginning of the new year.
