At the beginning of 2008, while transcribing the lectures of \u015ar\u012bla Bhakti Rak\u1e63aka \u015ar\u012bdhara Deva Gosv\u0101m\u012b Mah\u0101r\u0101ja, I noticed how many times His Divine Grace referenced \u015ar\u012bla R\u016bpa Gosv\u0101m\u012b\u2019s Upade\u015b\u0101m\u1e5bta<\/em> and was inspired to see if I could compile a commentary on the original verses of \u015ar\u012b R\u016bpa from his talks. As there was ample reference material to draw from, we eventually embarked upon printing the first edition of Upade\u015b\u0101m\u1e5bta<\/em> with illuminations by \u015ar\u012bla \u015ar\u012bdhara Mah\u0101r\u0101ja.<\/p>\n
When we presented the first edition to our Gurudeva, O\u1e41 Vi\u1e63\u1e47up\u0101da \u015ar\u012b \u015ar\u012bmad Bhakti Gaurava Narasi\u1e45gha Mah\u0101r\u0101ja, on his Vy\u0101sa P\u016bj\u0101 in 2009, he felt great joy upon seeing it \u2013 so much so that in the same year, during K\u0101rttika-m\u0101sa, he gave a number of talks from Upade\u015b\u0101m\u1e5bta <\/em>at R\u0101dh\u0101-D\u0101modara Temple in \u015ar\u012b V\u1e5bnd\u0101vana-dh\u0101ma. In particular, he spoke on the last two verses in relation to taking up residence at \u015ar\u012b R\u0101dh\u0101-ku\u1e47\u1e0da and bathing in Her sacred waters.<\/p>\n
Since its initial publication, many kind-hearted devotees have expressed their appreciation. Now that all copies of the first print have been exhausted, we are reprinting it for the transcendental pleasure of the Gau\u1e0d\u012bya Vai\u1e63\u1e47ava community.<\/p>\n
Our Guru Mah\u0101r\u0101ja had suggested that for the second printing we should include the word for word translation of the original \u015blokas<\/em>, thus we have provided these for the benefit of the readers.<\/p>\n
